I recently found this webpage and thought that the snowboarders and skiers here would be interested to see this. The Jibskate is like a twin tipped cross country ski meant for doing freestyle skiing type tricks. Thats crazy talk! I remember one time when i tried to go off a jump on my cross country skis. To summarize that long story, suffice to say it hurt. But hey, if they have mad special equipment for it I would love to give it a try. It would be especially cool here in Minnesota where we dont have very many large hills. Anyway heres the official website. http://www.jibskate.com/ That is the only website I could find about "extreme cross country" Midwest Mountaineering has said jibskates might be available at the expo this weekend, if your interested.
Peace out,
Jeff

I dont think the freestyle community will accept that as an alternative to the freestyle Telemark skis. We'll see if they hold up and have any market penitration. Most people who are serious into freestyle demand more stability of a wider ski for stomping big air. Hell, my Public enemy's are regarded as average width and they are 80mm wide at the waist. I am goign to give this a post over at www.newschoolers.com (http://www.newschoolers.com) and see how they riot about it.
