After I found that I could be shot at Lebs during lunch yesterday, and then found that Terrace is closed and finally that Murph is closed too I about lost my mind! I was pumped to do a lunch ride yesterday and got denied 3 times. WHy are all these trails closing so early. I did a night ride at Theo last night in order to satisfy my cravings and needs and the trail was in perfect riding condition! I don't get why these other trails close so early and why we gotta kill deer this close to the city.

Theo is still open.....:D

I think it's the parks that decide on some of these trails. They go by date and not conditions in some cases. I think John works closer with Dakota so Leb stays open until condtions are not good for riding anymore. I do think Leb opens after 12:00. That's what it says at the bottom of the forums anyway.

It sounds like if Patrick would have checked out the MORC site a little sooner, he would have saved himself some frustration. I'm glad you got your ride in last night at Leb. though. Should have come and joined us at Salem, it was a great ride last night.

Yeah I guess using my own common sense based on riding conditions instead of checking an internet website was a really big mistake on my part;)

Yeah, in the spring and fall, you might as well throw common sense out the window.

When I used to ride Terrace Oaks a few years ago, they would not open the trails till May or something. Even though they were perfectly dry and fine most years, it was just a set date.....and yeah, before MORC I would break the rule. Now I wouldn't if it's still like that, but I broke the rule then, knowing the trails were dry and in perfect riding conditions. I never rode wet trails before I got MORCed, not because of damage, but because I hate riding wet or muddy trails.
