Looks like we might get some rain on Wed. and it will be a bit cooler Thursday, so we'll play it by ear... but hopefully we can do our weekly Leb ride.
If something comes up with the weather etc. we'll post it here, otherwise lets assume we're on!
I look forward to these so much that I'm already looking forward to the one on the 17th and we haven't even done this weeks ride yet. ;)

I started charging batteries last night as soon as I got home from the Salem ride, first time I've done two laps at a trail, maybe I'll try the second lap at Leb this week too.

Chris, Good to see you out on another ride. Another option is to skip the expert sections if you are getting tired. That's when you start making mistakes and not having as fun of a ride. Just let someone in the group know, so that we don't go back for a search party.
JJ, are you healthy enough to take another swipe at that log?

I've never rode the expert sections in the light let alone the dark, however I did learn something last night at salem - I'm getting better by riding at night, no time to see/think about what I'm doing, just react.

I plan to be there again, I will however probably not have alot of after ride goodies to share. Sorry :cryin:
Now I need to get the adept back together and see how it rides after sitting unused for 4 months.
then again, maybe I'll try the cross bike...
man I hate choices....
See everyone tomorrow.

Healthy thanks for asking. Shoulder still a little bruised, ego still in the bottom of the barrel for getting thrown off by a stupid twig. Probably won't make it, we are moving at work this week, might ride up on the commuter and partake of socialization if I get out of work before 8pm.

Any truth to the rumor that Lundell is grilling brats? If so, I'll bring the spicy mustards and caramelized onions.
Please advise.

I don't know how I got thrown into that.... but if someone else wants to bring a grill feel free.

Looks like the weather is about to take a turn on us next week. Might be one of our last 50 degree night rides at Leb. Hope we get a good turnout tonight.
Remember that Dakota County often closes Leb for bike riding December 1... I will get clarification on this to see if it can be delayed if there is no snow. Once there is enough snow to ski, we're to stay off... the countdown is on. :(

Warning: I'm trying out a new helmet light tonight. It's insanely bright. I tried it out in the yard last night, and accidently set the neighbor's cat on fire.
Unfortunately, I didn't finish building the new battery pack and only have about 1:45 of power, so I might have to do a quick battery swap between laps.

Battery will last for just under two hours, but how long until the helmet melts?
Don't know if I want to ride behind Bob tonight is he is going to be over discharging his Li-Ion pack. Then agian riding in front one might go blind.

Anyone ever see the movie Real Genious where they lit up that laser and it fried holes in buildings, a tree, billboards etc? Thats how I picture this new light.

Do we have to worry about getting skin cancer if Bob's lights shine on our faces?

Great ride! I have to admit, 48 watts of helmet light is NICE.

I had a great time last night, thanks for the fun ride. I also rode the X loop for the first time ever (not just in dark but ever) and realized I need to secure the batteries in a better way, definatly getting better batteries and holder by next fall, till then I shall get by.
