Keep an eye out near the end of Zip... the ski trail expansion will be taking out some MTB trail there very soon (if it hasn't already happened).

The entrance to White Pine Flyer should be untouched by the expansion.

Just as a note to everyone. The Cedar trails have now been plowed through for the new Ski trails. Please don't take alarm and this is not related to the silly signs someone has been putting up. These trails were not sustainable and not approved. This is a planned event and we have an agreement that will allow us to build approved sustainable trails near/through that area. It was something we knew about in advance and it's actually going to be a win for us. More news to come on this I am sure. I just don't want people suddenly panicking.

Also, I am sure that since they are working on the Cedar area, they will be doing Zip soon. We will be rebuilding some trail after the ski trail goes in there. In the mean time, just by pass it and enjoy the rest of your Theo ride.

Thanks for your understanding.

Regarding the official Wirth trails:

The end of Zip was cut today. IF the ski trail expansion is complete in that area, we lost a total of about 15 feet of trail. Zip is still completely intact - it just ends about 15 feet sooner (the tight turn in the sumac at the end is even still there). There is no need for any re-routes at this point.

I'm waiting for word on if the ski trail expansion work is complete in that area (and if not, when it will be).

Thanks

Thanks for the info Paul.

I'm actually referring to the ski trails north of Hwy 55 - near the official MTB trails (your link is a map of Cedar).

The MPRB is coordinating the ski trail expansion - I'll be hearing from them soon.
