Is the group still riding Theo from Kenwood on Monday nights? Still at 6pm? Tonight?

Yes, yes, and if the trail is dry enough, yes. There are still a few of us out there that are too dumb to come in out of the cold.

Yes. This week I'm going to try for:
Monday: Theodore Wirth with Mara, Shad, Will, etc.
Tuesday: Salem Hills with James
Thursday: Lebanon Hills. To be announced

Where did you guys end up riding? I was late and headed for Wirth but didn't see anyone - trail was great - nice night.

Is there a Theo ride again this Monday? Where would one show up (and when) if one were intersted in partaking in this event?

At this point, it looks like I will be able to make the ride.
The group meets at 6:00 pm at the place that used to be Kenwood Cycles, 21st St. W. and Penn Ave South, in Minneapolis. It's on the north side of Lake of the Isles, just south of Kenwood park.
We generally ride around the Cedar Lake trail (if I understand the area correctly), then head over to Wirth for a couple laps. If the weather is nice and anyone is interested, I might be up for an extra lap or two tonight.
Of course, on the one day when we might have more than a handful of riders, some idiot has to go and leave her off-road gear at home. I'll try to get my hands on it before Theo tonight, but. . . I'm pretty darn mangled from trying to chase Mr. Thayer for fifty some miles yesterday, so I'll be riding short and mellow if I can ride at all.
I would really like to watch Bob do laps around me! It'd be kinda like watching the sun orbit some stationary hunk of planet. :D

Now come on... It was only 30 miles with me. The other 20 I had nothing to do with. Plus, I was pulling a BOB with 40 lbs of cooler/pop in it for half of the time. :)

.....And still riding quite hard and fast. You blew mara and I away up that big hill, even with the BOB full of soda. That was pretty impressive.

Yes, and the fact that you still kicked my butt a lot makes me feel like a weenie :p BoB or not, you are one speedy guy.

I raked leaves, mowed the lawn and soldered batteries. So, I'm ready for a ride.
(The 35-watt narrow-beam helmet light is close to being ready. Running at almost 50 watts actual, this sucker will melt the lycra off of the person in front of me.)

How do you insulate your helmet from that huge amount of heat?

It's at the corner of Penn Av and 21st Street.

This light will be mounted on a pivot, a little off of the helmet. (similar to store-bought lights) It should dissipate most of the heat rather than warming up my helmet. Besides, we are getting into the time of year where a little heat will be welcome. Hopefully, it won't be enough to wake the animals out of hibernation.
