Come help our fellow Wirth Park users work on their trails...
City of Lakes Loppet Trail Day
Sign up now and qualify to win a special 'pre-registered persons' door prize from REI Co-Op.
When: October 29, 2005: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Where: Meet at Wirth Beach (between Wirth Parkway and Xerxes on Glenwood)
Sign-up in advance: Call or email Don Begalle at REI at dbegall@rei.com or call 952/884-4315 ext. 203 (those who sign up at least one week in advance will be entered to win a special ³pre-registered² door prize must be present to win).
What to bring: Shovels, rakes (heavy, wide rakes are best), wheel barrows, pitch forks, loping sheers, hand saws, etc.
Tasks: Cutting trails, pruning, seeding, widening trails, wood-chipping, raking, buckthorn removal, etc.
Latecomers: Contact Trail Crew Leaders Bill Dossett (612 747-4659), Piotr Bednarski (952 237-0765), or Craig Rudd (763 242-0176) for direction.
Extras: Free T-shirts and lunch supplied by REI Co-Op. Great door prizes.
