I think a couple dancing bananas are merited - Chequamegon rocks!

Went this past weekend. We did Rock Lake, Ojibwe, West Fork Trail (Delta cluster) and the Telemark Terrain Park (that's a rough 1.5 miles).
Fantastic trails, I'm sure everybody out there knows that but if you haven't been, run don't walk to Chequamegon sometime.

Oh by the way it could not have been more beautiful, about an inch of leaves on the trails. That was good because it hid all the rocks and roots.

I posted a few photos:

Yeah, I really got lucky with weather since this trip was planned a month ago.

Were you up for the Jay Loomis weekend thing that I saw on TCBC's site? Is Rock Lake finished now? When I was up I had a hard time finding the single track.

I haven't been to many trails outside of the metro but I really really liked the Ojibwe.

yes the terrain park is a rough 1.5 mile, was hard to keep on the bike for me once it started to go up hill towards the end.

No, me and another guy were just up for a random weekend.

Rock Lake - it looked to me like they weren't done yet. At one point, I think somewhere near Hildebrand Lake, we came out of the woods on singletrack to a ski trail crossing and it looked like there was future trail marked straight ahead into the woods (red flags every so often) but obviously not yet ridable trail.

It looked like this yet-to-be-built singletrack was on the map already (just got a new set before we left). Otherwise we just missed a turn which is certainly possible.

Yes, the trail is almost done but that little section is still to be built. If you go left on that ski trail there is a right turn just down the hill to the rest of the single track. That is the best trail out there that I've riden so far, and I havn't riden much yet.
