There will be trailwork sessions this Saturday and Sunday (10/15 and 10/16).

Saturday: 10:00am to 4:00pm - Pizza and pop will be provided for lunch.

Sunday: 10:30am to around 2:00pm - Bagels and coffee at 10:30.

Meet and park in the Par 3 parking lot on Theo Wirth Parkway.
If you show up late, ride/walk the trail - we'll be out there.

This is the last project to be completed for the Wirth MTB Demonstration Project - help us make it a success so the MPRB will let us build more (and more difficult) trails in Wirth and other Minneapolis parks.

Bug spray, gloves, boots, eyewear, and water are recommended.

We won't need any rakes, wheelbarrows, or tampers on Sunday.

Please post here if you plan to attend (and which days) - so we can estimate how much food is needed.

Rain or Shine - unless the weather is severe or the trail gets too muddy.
Every attempt will be made to post here if trailwork is cancelled or changed.

See http://mocatrails.org (http://mocatrails.org/) to print a parking permit.

We hope to see you there!!!

We got quite a bit done tonight, so we decided to start an hour later on Saturday morning (10am instead of 9am - I'll edit the original post too).

So...
Saturday: 10:00am to 4:00pm - Pizza and pop will be provided for lunch.

Sunday: 10:30am to around 2:00pm - Bagels and coffee at 10:30.

I plan to be there (Saturday). Question: will there be coffee in the am, otherwise I can stop and bring some.

If you'd like to bring coffee on Saturday, that would be great. :)

Since it does not start until 10 am on Saturday I will be there with Coffee.

I ended up riding the new exit on Tuesday night right after it was cut, it was kind of bumpy.

I hope to be there Sunday. Gotta leave by about 2-2:30 though. Should be great weather for trailwork. Do you still need a tamper?

Mike

I need a tamper -- not the equipment, the person. My arms still hurt from Wednesday. After the first hour, tamping loses some of it's original joy.

Yes, if it isn't difficult for you to bring, please bring a tamper. Thanks!

I hope we get a nice showing. If we do, there are at least 2 jumps that can be built....and we all like jumps....:).....don't we? If we get a low turnout, not much of the cool stuff will be able to be done this weekend, the entrance and some other stuff are priority.

Please come and show your support!!

Many thanks if you do!!!

Sounds like someone is volunteering to do some compacting with a tamper. ;)

I thought it was smooth as any trail I'd ever seen.;)

Thanks to EVERYONE that came out today!!

...a big thanks to the guys from Penn Cycle!

And an EVEN BIGGER thanks to the Penn Cycle management for sending them!

We got a lot done today - the new gravel entrance at Hwy 55 is pretty much complete (please use it).

** We won't need any wheelbarrows, tampers or rakes on Sunday. **

On Sunday we will be working on a few smaller projects throughout the trail. This will likely include some general maintenance, some pinning, finishing the turn after the Enchanted Forest downhill, and putting the finishing touches on the rollers in Conundrum.

If you show up later than 10:30, ride the trail... we'll be out there.

Thanks again... and we hope to see you Sunday morning!
