Lebanon Hills Night Ride Thurs 9/22 7:00 pm --- Note the earlier start time.

No matter what Ted says, I'm turning on my lights as soon as it is dark enough to know that they are on.

No rain in Burnsville/Eagan area as of 8:30 pm so ride should still be ok for tomorrrow. The big storm missed us.

The sky opened up around 10:30/11:00 and dumped a decent amount of rain in Burnsville/Eagan (live near Leb.). Suggest that we let it dry today and hit the trail tomorrow night.

I agree. Short, but intense rain late. Riding Lebanon today probably a bad idea.

Bummer. With less than a 1/2 in in the rain guage (3 miles north of Leb) I was hopping we could still ride. After a long week in the office - I was looking to relieve some stress on the trail!!!

There is a descent wind out there today. There is a chance it may be OK by 7.

Is anybody able to check out the trail ahead of time?

I will try to stop by the trail at 4:00 or so and check it out.

I'm thinking the same thing. 2:30 going back to the office, it looks sunny, windy and low humidity. I don't see any puddles or damp grass anywhere.

Jeff or Ted, Is there any chance you can check it out on the way home, then post something? Since the beginner loop is one of the last sections to dry, we (you) should be able to take a quick peek and make a decision.

Thanks.

I will stop by and check out the beginner loop to see how the low spots are looking. I'll try to post something by 5:00.

I had to run an errand at lunch and swung by the parking lot.
I walked in to the beginner a few yards and all looked good - pretty much dry in fact.

I didn't want to dirty my wing tips so I didn't go any farther into the low problem spots

My vote is we should go, but it would be great if Jeff could swing by. If nothing else we could meet at 7:00 and give it a go. If it is too wet, we could return to the lot to partake in some malted beverages......on the grass of course :D

I agree. Unless we hear from someone that has checked out the trail, let's plan to go ahead with the ride,

BUT do a run around the beginner loop first. The beginner trail is usually worse than the rest of the trail. If it looks too muddy, then we substitute a ride around the block on the paved trails, then go back to the lot for some Barley Pop.

Another option is to ride up the Dream-II hill, and if it looks questionable, bail out on the Galaxy side, and ride the sidewalks back to the lot for a couple of Road Sodas.

I walked the beginner trail back to the sumac area. The usual low spots are wet, but not as wet as they were a couple weeks ago on our first night ride. The rest of the beginner trail was dry. I suspect that the X trail will be a little wet, again in the usual areas. See you all at 7:00.

DUe to lack of interest and time I might have to just ride early before dark, so have a good one... and I'll catch everyone next week regular time & place.

Since I've had to miss all but the Summit night rides so far, I'm wondering if anyone is thinking of a Thurs 9-29 night ride? I'd definitely be up for it.
