I rode the Cheq Fat 40 this weekend. Perfect conditions!

One major annoyance - sweat rolled off of my forehead and onto the inside surface of my shades and obscured my vision. I eventually had to ride without and I really could have used some relief from dust and debris.

Any tips? Any brand/style that corrects this problem?

For the sweat part, i always wear a headband under my helmet on the road or off-road, never have a drip. For the glasses I wear Smith Sliders off-road and Rudy Project Kerosene on the road. There are glasses with a "sweatband" built into the top part but id just stick with a band, any LBS should have them or can order them, the cycling ones are thinner for hemlet use.

I read a "tip" in Mountain Bike Action, that suggested shop glasses are an inexpensive alternative to more specailty eyewear (which can get pricy).

Bandana! Willie Nelson style and dripless functionality.

I have thought about bandanas and headbands. I'll give them a try, thanks!

I just bought a groovy pair of Tifosis at the Cheq deal this weekend for $10. They're vented and were awesome! Best glasses ever. The cool part is they're green and match the MORC jersey perfectly. At least I looked good. Oh ya gotta have a headband. I use a buff.

Go to http://www.worldcycling.com/ in St. Paul and buy a road bike specific headband. They are made of very thin material so you dont sweat more by just wearing it, ie. the old Dr. J headbands. Cost is about $8 but worth it of course.
