Hi all.

I just wanted to take a moment to say farewell to all of those that I have crossed paths with in Minnesota while working and riding the trails of Memorial Park in Red Wing. Some of you may know me as the co-director of the Muddy River Rock n Roll, others as the co-steward and founder of the trail system on Memorial Bluff.

I have to say farewell since I have moved on to Tennessee with my family. My wife has accepted a teaching position in Unionville, TN so I am now looking forward to throwing my hat in a new trail and racing ring.

Don't worry, though. The trails and race in the capable hands of Chris Gustafson who has been a part of the race and trails since day one. Chris (Gus as most know him) has some big plans for the MRRR for next year (the race's 10th year!), and the bridge that we put in this year wouldn't have happened without his efforts with the City of Red Wing.

So hopefully I'll see you on the trails when I'm back for visits. Come look for me down here this winter as I'll be riding sweet single-track all winter for a change. I'll be in the Nashville area so drop me a PM from this board and we'll try to hook up for a ride if you're ever in the area! I'll still be checking in on the MORC board just cause it's cool so I'll be checking my messages.

Later and happy trails!

Good luck in Tennessee Kris (and family).

Thanks for all the work on Memorial. Doubt I'd be riding (and know I wouldn't be riding a 29er SS) without the sweetness that are those trails.

Keep the rubber side down

Good luck Kris and thanks for the great work in Red Wing, your legacy will remain for a long time with those trails. You have spent a great amount of time and energy building trails that many have and will always enjoy and we thank you.

Yo Kris,

good luck in Tennesse!!! Check out the windrock Mtns, I know for a fact they have some killer DH/FR stuff, I would expect the same for XCing. Have fun with the new area and thanks for all you have done in Red Wing!

Kris- Its been great riding with you and working on the trail with you. Thanks for all the hard work you put into Memorial and the MRRR. It will be strange not to see your face around RW. I wish you all the luck in TN. There are some awesome trails down there. Please tell Michelle congrats on the job for me. Happy riding and take care!:D

Kris,

Don't think I ever got to meet you but I've raced the Muddy and ridden your great trails and for that I thank you! Hope you find yourself a nice little niche down there and that you keep up the good work.

Got to meet "Gus" this weekend at the Mtb Summit. That was great! You're right, the trail is in good hands.

Take care,
--Troy

Kris,

I was only able to meet you once, which is a bummer since you seem to be a neat person and an awesome trail builder. Happy adventures to your wife in her new job and to you on your new playground. The riders and trails of Tennessee are lucky to have you.
