I am sure this has been discussed before, but I could not locate the topic.
What obstacles have there been in preventing trail signage being put up on the Memorial trails ?
When I first rode those trails, I could only tell which way was the right way to ride by the number of riders I came across in each direction. And I come across riders from time to time that are going against regular traffic.
I would be happy to volunteer myself for this project if it is simply an item that is waiting for someone to take the bull by the horns.

The man to talk to is Kris Henke. He has been discussing the issue with the City and I believe he may have signs to put up. Chris Gustafson (Gus) is another guy that may have a better answer to your question. One of these days when I am down there, we well have to ride RW together Larry. Happy Trails!

I think, at least the story that I heard, was that either teenage hooligans, or deer were attacking them... or something. I know that there is a plan in place to get some signage up there, and I can't believe that the city would be against it (especially if it was done in a decent unobtrusive way). Next time I see Gus I'll mention it.
I've got my 29er singled out now, so anytime you guys want to be slowed up by a dude making weird noises up every hill... let me know.

1st, Kris Henke has moved out of state. I will be the one to inquire with on all trail issues. Their are signs in the works. The city does have to approve them! They will be in a certain format and that format will be followed by all future signs.
Here is an example of the signs you will be seeing. Thanks for all your interest.
Chris Gustafson, M.R.R.R. race director and trail steward.

Ok the exaple did not work correctly. Think in terms of 8.5 * 11 sheet

I hope the signage is dressed up a little, not just type on a sheet of paper under plexi.

I know Chris too. He's a good friend. He used to use my darkroom when he was starting up in photography.
