Trailwork @ Milaca Sat. Oct. 15 & 22

We'll be working on the Milaca trail two days this fall, Saturday October 15 and 22. Meet at the main gate at 9 am. I can car pool one or two from Rogers if you'd like. A few preliminary things on the agenda are cleaning up the Bog Monster and opening it, weed wacking the grassy parts, check out the possible Sky Hill loss, any other maintnance needed. This is primarly maintance trailwork, nothing new at this point.

What's the existing condition of these trails... We were considering making a trip up to ride, but heard they are in rough shape and not worth the drive to ride.

I'd come give you a hand, but we'll be working some new trails out at Afton around the time of your trail sessions...

Thanks for attempting to get these trails in shape. I've had some good 50 mile beatdown races up there in years past thanks to the BLAST Crew...

These trails were mint at one time not too long ago...

Thanks again, without people taking some initiative this trail would die...

The trail isn't in too bad of shape if you don't mind a little overgrowth. Bog Monster is closed but we'll be working on that then.

While I was at the Camden Classic last weekend we talked to a guy who lives near milaca (dang, can't remember his name) and he said that the trail, with the exception of Bog Monster, is in great shape right now.

Would that be Tim from Princton? We were at the Pre-Fat if that's the same thing. Rum River Cycling team of kids, 12 total I think.
