Sorry. Have to put this up. It's been 48 hours and I'm totally in love.

Huge thanks to Gene, Reed, Ben and everyone at One On One (http://www.oneononebike.com) for building the bike of my mechanical wet dreams. Was that too much information? Probably. Oh well. Like I say, I'm in love.

That's a sweet ride, Charles.

I have at least 4 "Last Bike I'll Ever Buy"s in the basement. Now I've changed the criteria to "of that type".

this one replaced the last "last bike i'll ever buy," so i figure there's no net gain. and using your novel classsification system, i have room for several additional "last bikes." in theory, if not in my basement.

You bastid! That's my dream bike ;o) Only thing I would do differently is go with the triple clamp fork they make.

Oh I need to make more money!

yeah, as of right now, so do i.

i thought about going with the the big-hit triple-crown monstrosity that maverick makes. it is indeed a thing of plush beauty. but in the end, i realized that massive hucks are never going to be my thing. five inches of travel should buy me all of the whump insurance i need.

it should smooth out those ruff metro trails nicely...hey, as our secret agenda to MORCify every inch of singletrack in the state with 8-foot logpiles and exploding rock gardens on off-camber climbs continues to manifest itself, a rider can't have too much suspension.
