Does anyone know if this trail is worth a side trip while in Duluth?

NO! I made the mistake of riding that trail, it was a muddy mucky mosquito-infested mess. Maybe when the ground freezes....

Do not waste your time with this trail.

wow, i was at this trail less than two weeks ago, and it was in perfect shape!! bugs are part of the ride. it wasn't bad when i was there. anyway, it's not too long of a trail but well worth the ride. ride it the opposite way, if you want more miles.
i'm heading to our cabin in canada to do some riding this weekend.

Peace,
Joe

Glad you had a better experience with the trail. To be fair, I rode it maybe 6 weeks ago, before the "drought" took hold. In any case, I am guessing there has been too much precipitation in the past few days to make the trail worth riding, much less going out of one's way to ride it.

Thanks for the info on Pokegama, i think I'll try Spirit Mtn, unless someone else has other good options?

it's 4 miles one way. i ride it as an out-and-back, when i ride it.

we haven't had any real rain for several days so it should/might be ok. it's mainly clay so not a good ride when wet. for more info you can go to www.coggs.com (http://www.coggs.com) and send their trail guy an email regarding trail conditions. it's coggs built/maintained.

hartley park is always a good [longer and better] ride when in dulluth.
