Does anyone else bend skewers?

I was working on my lady's bike and noticed her rear skewer was really bent. Keep in mind she doesn't exactly ride hard like the majority of you out there, but I'm wondering how easily this can happen. I've had some bad wrecks, but never bent one before. I don't know what she's been doing with that bike...

Make sure the hub's axle isn't broken. Those can cause bent skewers in some cases I think.

just ridden it with the QR open or loose. I would only take a few solid thwacks to bend one.
