Ok, how flipping hard is it to swap out a fork? Thinking on doing it on my own but I am stuck sitting here in my garage staring at the thing thinking "If I take that thing off, I'll never get the new on on right and I'll be screwed." These things happen to me, I once was blowing insulation in my house (loft area in my garage that goes over my living room) and I actually fell through the ceiling onto the sofa next to my 10 year old, I almost killed him and myself. I also had a flippin mess on my hands. Thank God for sofas.

Are there any links out there that can give me a general idea of what to do?

Thanks,

Try this one (http://www.parktool.com/repair_help/howfix_forksize.shtml) out. I did it this spring and I usually have the same luck as you when doing stuff, so I'd say give it a go.
