youth races

Spring Cup at Buck is a good one, just about any big race has a kids section.

MNSCS.com look at the last race of the year...Laddies Loppet...my kid will do the kids race. Look good.

hi i was wondering if any one knows of any youth races in mn. and if there are any races that are coming up.What age? The citizen class in the MNSCS might be an option, but in my opinion, some of the races are too long for a true beginner of any age. I've heard many NEW racers complain that the races are too hard. My son (8) did the Buck Hill race as a citizen class racer and did ok. Some of the other MNSCS races are too long. I'm hoping he'll do the Laddie's Loppet. The kids' races associated with the MNSCS races are a great idea for younger kids.

well im 15 and have been riding for 2 years and was thinking about geting in to the sport.

Todd, at your age you should do the citizens class in the state series. If you feel that you need more, then jump up to the sport class. I think there are only two or three races left for the year on the state series. Check them out, and see how you compare to the rest of the field in your age group. Good luck.

It's close, it's only $10, it is always a smaller low key kind of race. It's very short -- a beginner should be able to do it in under 40 minutes.

It is a mass start race, but don't let that intimidate you just ride at your own pace and see where you fit in. If you like it you can go back the next week and see if you can beat your previous time.:banana:

There are usually some pretty good door prizes as well.:cool:

you can enter any race, because most have a section for youth racers. but if they don't, you will probaby be able to beat the old fogies out there to.:D
