Do you have an old bike sitting collecting dust that you'd like out of your garage? I'd be happy to take it off your hands. We're doing a nice long weekend down on the Root River Trail and my fiance' would like more of a road bike/hybrid bike to ride vs. her mountain bike with fat tires. Not looking to spend much, just sort of searching for a cheapy.

In stead of a new bike, put smooth tires on her ride she has now. I put Continental Town & Country tires on my wifes bike and she loves them. They roll great and last a long time. It's cheaper than a whole bike.

Fo-shizzle, you'd be suprised how much faster a stock mountain bike is with 1.5" slicks instead of 2"+ knobbies. The granny and 2nd ring become useless!

Thanks. That was my first thought too, but I was hoping to bring both bikes and do some of each. Haven't had much of a chance to ride down there.

I know about some uber secret trails down there...couldn't give you specifics, but if you stumble on to them you'll know! Absolutely beautiful down there!!! That is probably the funnest paved trail ever!

Why not get 2 sets of wheels?
It's only a few seconds to swap.

Assuming she's happy with the current bike setup.
It might be difficult to get a cheap bike that fits well
and is comfortable.

This coming from someone with 5 bikes and counting :D

Love it down there. We spend the weekend camping at The Old Barn Resort and just ride whenever we feel like it. Recommend it to anyone that needs a weekend away from the busy life.

Heck yeah we used to go to the old barn every year, and we based out fo there for turkey hunting a couple years as well! That place is a fun place, be sure to stop at the brat house at the end of the trail that place rocks!
