Rode the Flathorn Lake Loop on 7/19, Trail is in excellent shape. There is an archeological dig going on along the trail on the west side of the lake near intersection "8". Crew is on the trail while working; you come over a rise and there they are, so be careful. Lots of good brook trout fishing in the Little Isabella River. (Trail crosses it twice.) Great ride!
For budgetary reasons, the USFS Ranger ("Work") Station in Isabella is being closed as of August 1st, 2005. Trail information will be found at Tofte District office in Tofte or the Kawishiwi District ofice in Ely.
