Penn Cycle has been hosting Thursday Night MTB races for something like 13 years. At $10 to race on great singletrack it's a deal, it's family friendly, and there's Green Mill pizza and good beer available to. Thursday, July 28th is the last race of the Penn Cycle 2005 Thursday Night season, and maybe the last at Buck forever. Developers are anxious to build starter castles on the north section, so the future for mtb racing at Buck is uncertain. Anyway, to thank Penn Cycle for all these years of supporting mtb racing, for giving away pretty good shwag and Mac Daddie prizes, for hosting cool Kidz Races, come and go mtb racing at Buck July 28th. We'd like to see 200 racers that night to close the season in a big way. See you at Buck!

My first ever mountain bike race was a Penn Cycle Buck race. I think it was '96 or something. I had a 24 inch wheeled GT mountain bike with BMX pedals on it. I remember Geno lapping me....I think a couple of times.......:laugh:

Hmmmm, I bet Geno could still lap me.....:scream:

Thursday night Penn Cycle Buck Hill race was one of my over 40 virginal experiences too!.....I'd like to know how many races I've done since 1999! :crazy2:

Any ideas of how we racers could recognize the people like Peaches Tim and Tom who year after year plan and organize the races?.... is it safe to post ideas here or would they see them? ( I have a good one, but don't know if I should post it here)

I did hear from Tim that there's a chance it will still happen next year, he made an announcement at last weeks race, something about not getting the money they'd hoped for from the offers made.......

It'll be sad to see it go.....:cryin:

Sounds like a good idea, I've raced these Thursday night series at least once every year since they started some 10 years ago and applaud Penn cycle and and those involved with putting on a fun series. Keep me posted or PM me.

The last race July 28 will most likey be the last one for the Penn Cycle Buck Hill Thursday Night Races. Spread the word and lets make it the BIGGEST race in 11 years of racing. That would be a great tribute to Pat, Tim, and Tom form Penn Cycle. If you have ideas for anything other tribute ideas go ahead and post them on this thread. By the way the course last night 7/21/05 rocked!! Nice job team Swanson!! Get those emails out there, call your friends, your neighbors, bring the kids, no excuses!!!

Dennis.
