I may be able to go for the ride. Not sure about the crazyness that follows though. I'll have to make some calls to find out.

Mike,

I have found out that there will be a trail run that morning in the park. It is part of the Red Wing Shoe Co. 100th year celebration. I'll find out how long it is going to last but, it starts a 8:00 am.

Son of a.. I have two difference friends in town this Sat. - so two different groups are having people over for them.

Hmm - I can ride still (I think), but will not be able to hang around as much as I would really like too... What time is the Bikini contest?!

I'll be checking this thread later to get the 'fo.

Thanks,

I'm getting the final go ahead on a friend who would be joining me. But as it stands, we are going to ride there late morning into the afternoon and then stick around for some shenagens. On Sunday are going to do a holzinger ride as well from the looks of it.

Where are we meeting for the ride? I have never ridden Memorial so some guidence would be nice. I'm coming up 61 from winona.

From 61 you need to take a left right after the correctional school. I don't know the road name or number but it is the road with the armory and the days in on it, follow that road for a couple blocks and the entrance to the park is on your left (big stone wall gate with a artillary piece there, you shouldn't miss it. head up road into the park (Scenic Skyline drive) and that will take you all around the top portion of the park (enjoy the view) and once you get all the way around the top the road will split and a left will take you back the driveway out and a right will take you back to a lower parking lot (pot smoker alley as we called it in High school) I beleive that is where we are meeting. I am going to be in town early to get some boots at the wharehouse sale and if that is done early I might slip in a quick round of frisbee golf at Memorial. What time are we planning on meeting Mike, 11:30 still?

PS the legendary Harbor bar bikini contest is at 4 PM again this year.

OK - I'm on the fence now, I would def. have to turn around almost right after the ride (OK, let's be real.. Right after - 2 beers - after the ride)

Mike (or anyone who plans on being down there) - can you PM me your cell, I'll give you a call if I'm coming down.

Sorry, I would really like to meet up with all of you and the ride there is great, the after ride fun sound like a hell of a lot of fun, and I also haven't made it down there yet this year!

If I don't make it - hope all of you a great time and post some pics!

So what time are we meeting. i'm planning on meeting my friend at the Kwik Trip in town at ten to 11 so we can find the parking lot together. So we would most likely be at the trail head around 11:10 since one of us will be running a little behind usually.

I am planning on being on the hill at 11 at the latest, I will be on top of the hill playing frisbee golf until I see any formentioned vehicles coming up, I drive a white Grand prix and have a red KHS bike, I generally where a yellow t-shirt when I ride (not a lance armstrong thing, I just want them to be able to find me when I finally do kill myself by plummetting off the trail into the ravine.) See you all today

I had a great time riding and talking with you guys. Me and matt went down to winona afterwards for some riding and then hit the scene down here till 4am. Lots of crazyness insued including a couple of drunks falling into a storm drain and some crazy bar fights. Somebody pulled knife at the Erbert and Gerberts Sub shop. I was at hardees for some after drinking fries and a shake and somebody threw a bike through the door at the cash register. It was pretty awsome. Hopefully you guys had a excellent time as well
