Lots of practice. It depends on how you bunny hop. If your pulling both wheels off the ground at the same time it makes things difficult. Instead try pulling up the front wheel then push out on the handlebars while you suck up the back wheel.
This is taken off www.trials-online.com (http://www.trials-online.com) a good site to check out. http://www.trials-online.com/techniques-bunnyhop.php
this is the main page for their a walk thru of their techniques.

Also, www.biketrials.com (http://www.biketrials.com) offers some good things to check out

What Dave said. But better yet, come ride with us! We'll help ya out. Its a lot easier to learn by watching and repeating.
We are going to ride Thursday... check the freeride forum for the info.

Is it easier to B-hop with a hardtail or full suspension?

Hardtail IMO. Suspension takes away all your preload. Some use it to their advantage, but you don't see them setting any records...! :)

i think so too cuz wheni tried with a Big hit Ex. it takes away all of yo strength.
but i still like full suspension better.

Full suspension definately knocked my trials abilities down a notch. Just doing small hops my energy gets sucked a bit more quickly because of the suspension doing its job.

FS is good for hucking, but in no way good for trials. You need a rigid frame and fork to get the control and hop ability going.
I rode my Big Hit in uptown the other day and hucked off the Library stairs without even an issue. I contemplated it on my BMX bike many times, but on the Big Hit, it was as if I rode over a speed bump.......:)
There is also some stairs at Lake Calhoun on the East side. There is a concrete ramp next to one set with a level spot about 1/2 way down. The ramp is like a skinny because it has this groove down the middle. I rode down it on my Big Hit the other day, but this would be fun for trials too. I also contemplated jumping the first set of stairs and landing on the second set after the level spot, but I had no safety gear with me and this is big enough to need that. Still don't know if I would do it, but it's tempting to try.
I do trials moves on my bighit. no problem, I can even hop on the back wheel, you just need to over exaggerrate(sp???) all your moves. Although a HT would be better, doesn't matter if you have a front suspension or not, i can hop front tire on most hard tails, just takes some getting used too!
Good luck, I soon hope to have a trials/street bike!

I would have to think that trials on a heavy freeride would be tough.
