View Full Version : Group Riding in Portugal
Bom dia!
I'd like to invite you all to take a ride along the blue coast in Portugal! My wife (native Portu-girl) and I will be launching our Portugal bike tour company in the spring of 2006... Look for our site www.bluecoastbikes.com (http://www.bluecoastbikes.com/) to be up and running within the next couple of weeks.
If you want to see crystal blue waters and sandy beaches, sleep in castles and old medieval manor homes, taste sweet pastries, baked fish and chicken and cold beer, and amazing wine, check us out, Portugal is the place for you!
We just love the spirit of the Portuguese culture and want others to share it with us, so we are putting together this exciting opportunity. OUr tours will be nearly all inclusive, and we do all the work...all you'll need to do is get there!
I'll do regular updates and postings once our site is up and running, plus I'll be doing the MS TRAM this year so just look for a couple of Blue Coast Bike T-shirts riding in front of you, and ask us anything!
I want to bring all my minnesota riding buddies over to the iberian coast with me and share my new world!
take care

Right on man, this has always been my dream, only I want to do it in Jamaica, good luck, I hope I can use your service one day and get some pointers.:D
jamaica, that would be cool. i am just tired of sitting in a cubicle and listening to people talk about documenting processes and processing documents....ugh. time to put my masters degree to some use and ride bikes for a living! Hope to see you on a tour, in the future (when our site is up) we'll most likely offer a M.O.R.C. discount to people that saw our ad here...stay tuned.
thanks and good luck

Hey AC, look on the "out of state rides" section and look for "Rustys X-cellent Adventures", you should be able to get some ideas from that.

I did a MBike ride in Jamiaca two years ago after a long night of drinking at Jimmy Buffets. I kept chasing the guy who had 3 holsters of Kamakazi's and making him give me a shot. Needless to say the ride, all down hill on subpar roads, was interesting. Oh did I mention my helmet wouldn't fit and the brakes didn't work either. It was fun though.:D I'll see if I can find my pics.

I uploaded one pic of me drinking the Kamikazes. I can't find the one of me not getting a helmet to fit. The lady looked through 3 huge garbage bags for a bigger helment. She said that she had never had this problem before. I had to ride down the hill with the buckle unbuckle, holding it with one hand and trying to steer and use the nonexistent brakes on a washed out crappy road, ALL with a huge hangover!!!
Now that my friend is FUN!
