Hi, welcome to MORC!!
Yeah, there are a couple of places, but not many. Look in the Freeride section for more info on places to ride.
There are the BMX trails in Edina. They are very advanced and difficult trails, so it depends on your skill level on whether you want to ride there or not.
Since this question is asked a lot and there is a big need for some MTB dirt jumps, I think it needs to be taken more seriously. I just came back from the U.P. last weekend doing the Chaindrive. They had a course there that started out with a BMX style rhythm section, but all jumps were rollable and jumpable, just like I would want to build. That way, everyone can ride them or jump them. We need something like this in the cities, hopefully legal, and we need it soon.

Yeah I totally agree... i dont know exactly how to get to the trail in Edina "Monkey Village" or whatever, and i dont know if the bmx'ers would really appreciate me riding there but whatever. There used to be a sick place on the corner of Difley road and 35E that this kid built for motocross, but that was leveled and turned into another gas satation, strip mall, etc... I know there must be more of these "hidden treasures" but its just a matter of finding the secret spots. I would LOVE building one somewhere for everyone to use but I cant see anyone approving it or finding the land for it.

I can. Other states and cities do it, there is no reason we can't.
As far as BMXers opinion out at the Edina trails, who cares. The BMXers who complain about freeriders are silly. Just ignore the fools, ride, and have fun!! If we can plan a time, I will go there with you. Since most of the BMXers know me, since I am and have been a BMXer for a long time, they will keep their mouths shut.....I hope...:)

I would totally be down for that. I know a friend of mine would love that too...we have been riding a couple years but are both moving more towards freeriding instead of XC. We have gone out west and fell in love with DH in Montana and Idaho. Let me know when you are going out to Edina....if you are patient with me, I have not done a lot of jumping so i would consider myself a beginner but i dont mind making a fool of myself.

Don't worry, I am pretty rusty myself and don't jump the big crazy ones anymore. I just don't have time to ride that kind of stuff all the time, but there is a medium rhythum section that I can do, so I ride that.
I live in Edina, so I don't have to go far. I am very busy this weekend, but maybe next week sometime.

Sounds like a plan Stan.....I mean Brent.
We have to make sure and scare all the dragons away. Last time I was jumping, I almost landed on one.

I would rather do Tuesday. The Theo group ride is on Monday nights and I like that ride a lot. I know Ben will probably want to go. I will call him and see where he is. I have not seen a post from him in awhile. I get home about 4ish or so.

With no idea where in Edina you're going, I rode to France and Gallagher this morning on my singlespeed and it took an hour and twenty minutes, not going all out. If you'd like an opinion on finding a route out there, post up. :)

brent, i was informed by another rider that there were two riders moving to the northfield area, just wondering if you were one of them.
