I plan on checking things out today. Just watch for fallen trees.

Trail is in good shape. There are a few trees down though, that large storm last Monday. In the far southeast corner, about...4 miles in, there is a very large tree down. Someone made a re-route for now. And another in section 4, about 5.5 miles in, there is one sticking out which will take your knee off! (no joke) Watch out for other small stuff, but that's the major stuff.

I rode Hillside on Tuesday. I tried to clear some of the stuff that I could. The trees down in the SE corner come up pretty fast if you aren't paying attention, however, there wasn't too much of a reroute when I was there.

All in all, the trail is in good condition and didn't take too much of a beating on Monday.

Man was it hot yesterday. But, I did go out. That wind blew a couple more trees down but other than that it's in good shape.

What's with all of the sand at hill side... and is there anything we can do to repair. Some of the climbs are horrible, and the bottom of some of the hills are really bad too. The sand is a few inches deep in some places.

Hillside can get very sandy just underneeth the top soil. Normaly what happens is heavy rain washes a lot of sand down hill and it collects at the bottom. I'm guessing that big storm Saturday morning that I heard about (I was out of town) did it. I'm going to Hillside tonight and will check things out then.

up at Hill Side? I'm thinking about heading up there early this afternoon and seeing where I will drop dead from exhaustion. Haven't ridden off-road in over a month now...

One good size tree down over trail for two+ weeks. I could have cut and removed, but I'm not a trail boss.

Where about is this tree? I've posted the section numbers so you know what one it would be. I'll see if Kevin can remove it, I don't have a chain saw.

By the houses on the North East end. Close to the main road. Towards the end of the trail before the last three climbs.

Thanks, I'll see if it can be removed soon. I'd also like to note that a lot of trees may fall in the next year or so. That storm knocked a lot of trees down but there are almost just as many stuck up top yet. They'll come down at some point and will need to be removed. So, just watch out for falling trees..

It's about 100 yards in from the second house (east of Hillside).
