No kidding, last weekend was just a teaser it seems. Figures the one nice weekend and I head up to WI for a weekend of fishing.

i had a fantastic time running in my shorts through the pouring rain screaming like a maniac through dinkytown. i love weather like this, even if it means riding trails might have to wait awhile :crazy2:

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to the ride home from work - 7mi with no fenders or raingear. Hopefully the power will be out when I get there. :eyeroll:

I am looking forward to my ride home. I love riding in the rain. I do have fenders though and I do always keep my rain gear packed away in one of my panniers. Fortunately, I rode the right bike today.

It might just be a few more days for things to dry up. More riding on the road.

Yeah, grrrreat. For once I dont have anything going on tues and wed night so I figure I can hit the trails. Hey I love storms, they are great to watch but man....this sucks. I guess I'll have to resort to my road bike again.

I lost a huge maple tree in the wind. I don't know whether it is fortunate or unfortunate, but the tree fell toward my yard, rather than away from it. Had it fallen the other direction, it would have taken out the power for the whole neighborhood, but the the power company would have removed it. At least it landed on the lawn, rather than on anything or anyone.

I've seen you with a chainsaw... Lucky you're handy that way. If it were some numbskull like myself...I'd have to be on the phone with a tree service to clean up.

I'm not too worried about the logs. It's the brush that is going to be a pain to get rid of.

I know with my insurance if it is on the house then insurance will cover it.

I foresee a log ride in Bobs yard. Just like the one down at Steeplechase. Here's your chance Bob, just clear it with the boss (your wife). If you need any help with clean up on Wednesday I'm open to help ya out. Or is there going to be a big donation of logs for Leb. I hope John don't see this thread, maybe he is still in Europe, I hope.

I had a big part of a tree fall too. Luckily it fell right between the house and the garage. Trees are big. It covers the entire backyard. We have to wait to the power company to remove it though, because it is hung up in their lines. Hard to beleive that the lines held without ripping right off of our house.

I was riding home from work yesterday and going through the west side some poor guy had a large Oak tree right on top of it, I'm talking the 100 some year old oaks that you see in St Paul neighborhoods, it landed on what looked to be his topper and the back tires were flattened, hope he has insurance.
