I have Hayes-9 Hydro's on my bike and yesterday for some reason I pulled my front brake lever when my wheel was off.
Now the problem I am having is the brake lever seems to have lost all it travel when pulling on it. The front brake still works but the lever has a real hard feel to it.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have never worked on hydro's, but what i have heard is..
If you pull on your lever, or bump it w/o your wheel on, you need to bleed the brake line to set things up again. Give it a try.

You do not need to bleed them the pistons in the caliper self adjust as the pads wear just as they do in your car. All you need to do is pull the brake pads out and put a 10 mm box end wrench on the piston and GENTLY push the piston(s) back. Not a big deal to do. If you have instructions for the brakes they will tell you how to do it. Otherwise check out this.
