Ok all,

The city and Trailsource have begun work at Salem, and we need to get people out there to finish off the work they have done.

If we get good turnout we should have the complete loop done by the end of June.

Most of the work will consist of spreading small amounts of dirt bermed up by the Dingo, a little back sloping work, Grubbing out some leftover stumps, and basic trail tread smoothing. Most of the trail is in wide open praire so the work quite easy sing you don't have to fight to much with the trees.

We do Have 1 LARGE Insloped Turn that will need a little massaging to get just right but I know there are a few out there interested in helping with that!

We also have a large boardwalk project which we will be doing out there later this summer once all the design and paperwork is done.

If you have any questions, Please contact me.
Contact info is on the contacts page.

I'm available 1st and 3rd wednesdays.

Thursday is out until after I decide that I'm too old and fat to ride the Buck Hill races.

Dale and I worked at Salem tonight. The bermed turn now has a table top exit!!! We almost finished the west side of the loop. Only have about 200 feet of light work to complete and the west side will be all done. The east side will be the project for next week.

I was out there riding today and the new stuff looks awesome. Good work guys. Can't wait to ride it. I will say I wasn't ready for the dirt pile in front of the entrance to the bridge on the west side of the pond. Trail is still in excellent condition but I found my first tick of the year while I was riding. I'm sure there will be more.:etard:

I vote for six!

On a related note ( sort of, ) is anyone with extra car space driving through Bloomington / Edina / Richfield on their way to Salem on Thursday? The last time I traveled that way by bike I did not have fun, although carrying a Pulaski might make some of the truck drivers think twice about driving too close. . .

Trailwork is on for tonight as long as we do not get any significant rains during the day.

I will post around 5:00pm onthe baords as to if the the work is on or not.

If you plan on helping bring gloves and bug spray. I will have Ultrathon to share but more is always welcome.

We will be working on basic post dingo cleanup in the open fields and possible the finish work on the the big inslope turn.

See everyone there.
