Lisa and I rode the trail today and it was in great shape. There were a couple of new things in there that I hadn't seen before. One was an elevated ramp and the other was a fun well-built teetertotter. Great job trail stewards!
I think Memorial Park is my favorite trail around and it was great today. No mud at all and just a couple of spots where the dirt was a bit soft. Plus, there was an air-show going on at RedWing airport and I got to see the B-25 bomber fly by pretty darn close AND a... P-51 Mustang (the second best military aircraft... after the Spitfire :) ).

Yeah- I rode 3 laps on saturday and 2 on mon. and the trail was in excellent condition. Even though I know my way around, I cant wait to see some more signage up there. I have no problem showing people the flow (like I did for a couple of Wabasha guys on sat),but I know that there are many people that ride up there that dont get a chance to ask someone because they dont run into any other riders. I cant wait to ride it when I finish my SS!!!!! Ohhhhhh Yeah!

I'm going to be down in RW this weekend and I am curious to know if it will be dry enough to ride Memorial? If its not dry enough I guess a road ride will have to do.:geek:

I would say with a couple of days of sunshine predicted, the trails should be near-perfect. I have found a few spots where recent storms have dropped branches so keep the fingers on the brakes and move what you can.

Just got back from a couple laps....

Conditions are absolutely perfect. By the weekend it will actually probably be dusty. I didn't head down to the quarry or the golf course but assume those trails are great too (though the trail to the golf course may be a bit overgrown).

Hey guys, Thanks for all of your interest in this magnifcent trail system. The trails are in good shape other than the over growth. However, I've started a new weekly trail work rutine for the next 4 weeks. Every Tuesday I'll be at the trailhead no later than 5:00 p.m. Any one is welcome to join. This is mostly just clean up and trimming back. Also keep checking the website for updates on this issue. Porter, unfortunately the bridge is not up yet. We hope to accomplish this very soon.

Thanks, Gus:crazy:
