Trail Work - Tuesday May 24, 2004 @ 6:00pm

We're fixing the teeter, we're fixing the teeter! If all goes well we will have the parts and tools necessary to get it back into operation for another season (or more, hopfully).

If we get extra people showing up we can always work on other areas of the trail - we'll have tools available. Hope to see people out for the first trailwork of the season.

I still plan to be there, and will bring:
A drill and spare battery
A half-inch and a few other bits
A couple hole saws
A hammer
A couple adjustable wrenches
A slotted screwdriver (for prying stuff and pounding out bolts)
A small saw - difficult to cut treated, but will work just-in-case
If anyone thinks of anything other tools, please post it here.


John will bring:
Bolts, nuts, washers
Two 4-ft 2x8's

Ted will bring Glue (for the party afterwards)


At 6pm, I'm going to head over to Leb to "check the trail conditions" I sort-of have my bike back for a couple days, but am riding with the holey swing arm.

I have the construction adhesive and am ready to sniff....

I will try to remember my drill and extra battery as well in case the hole saw does yours in.

Cool, we're a go for today. It will be a "light" trailwork session, not a lot of digging around to do - more maintenance type stuff. For those that want to show up anyway we will need to prepare the area around the teeter again and then anchor it in once its fixed... so all are welcome.
