Just got my new frame today and thought I would share. Still gotta put my cranks and a few other things on, but here it is. The White Brothers DH-3 is really big on it, so i'm hoping to get a smaller sc fork. Still have my Kona Stab Primo, but i'm going to try and sell that really cheap to fund a fork.

You need to clean your room.

Hey, I also saw a Prime helmet (tard lid style) that would match that frame perfectly.

definately racing the ds at whiteknuckle this year, but i'm going to have to see how I can handle the dh course on the hardtail. anyone have some suggestions for a sc fork. i was thinking maybe a manitou sherman or something similar.

I have a friend who I think is looking to sell his Sherman. He doesn't ride a whole lot so it is in great shape. Want me to ask him how much he wants?

Manitou forks are now banned from my list. I know I bought the Cheap one, but the fact it didn't even work at all is pretty sad. They have some serious quality control issues at Answer. You should see their recall list......sheeeesh!

I am going to get a Rock Shox Pike SL....which is what I was going to get but didn't want to spend the money. Now for a comment from Buck....

Yeah...OK. I give you 4 months and you'll have another fully. It ALWAYS happens! Hartails are fine for DH, but you will have to learn to be smooth, and to absorb with your legs.

Just keep the fork you have on it.

I would like to keep the fork, but the steertube barely reaches the top crown and i'm think that it might not be safe to ride hard with it the way it is. I had a sherman slider in the past and I thought that was one of the best performing forks that I've ridden.

Scott: What model fork does your friend have, I may be interested.

Shad,

Didn't you just get that fork? Do you have a link to a thread talking about what happened? I grew up as a Manitou guy but now have been a Marzocchi guy for my last three forks. Next I want to be a Maverick guy but that entails making lots of money :D

http://www.morcmtb.org/forums/showthread.php?t=12970Here is some of it. I didn't post up on the final results which are not finalized yet. I had it sent back to QBP and they supposedly fixed the air leak in the seal. When I put it on my bike it felt soft. I put my pump on it and it had no air in it. I started pumping and I could hear air coming out of the bottom. It was as if it was never fixed. I am sure QBP fixed it, but I honestly don't think the design or seals are any good. A few hard pushes on the fork and it must blow. This fork is supposed to be for Dirt Jumping.....so it's not gonna take it if that is the case.

I am in the process of having the fork returned so I can put that money towards a Pike SL and of course a new front hub. Not sure yet, but I think between Hollywood Cycles and QBP.....they will fix me up. If they don't it's because Manitou won't back it's product......so Manitou will be my next target if they don't take the POS fork back for credit. I also spent $35.00 on a pump I will no longer need and about $15 on a brake bracket I don't need......so lesson learned I guess. If a company can't make a product that works.....I am not going to support them and I will be a loud mouth about it....kinda like I am about my VW GTI POS. Hollywood Cycles and QBP have been great about the whole thing......so all fingers point at Manitou now!

so i was out on my first ride tonight and guess what, my front tire slips out from under me and i go down off a small drop. i'm laying in the grass for awhile and my friend notices that my bars are messed up. i cleanly snapped my integrated stem in half and won't be riding probably til the beginning of june.
