View Full Version : Possible weekend camp out in Brainerd/Crosby
Me and a pal have been toying with the idea of doing a weekend camp out next weekend at the Crosby Iron Pits. It's the place where they will be building a mountain bike park in the future. There's lots of steep hills and plenty of possible drops. If anyone is interested, post up.
Camping is free. But bring plenty of crappy clothes, cause the ore can get bad.

That's by my house, I can totally make it, I don't know the area around the mine pits but I know a lot of the other areas up there. Just say where you want to meet.

If you find any of the secondary kegs we burried to keep cold and later forgot where they were let me know. There were some monumental parties there back in the day. I just wish I could remember them.
Oh, those parties still exist!
Although many of the prime spots have been moving closer to Riverton and Brainerd. We may even do a bit of Kayaking if anyone's interested.
This is still in the works, but if the weathe ris right, it should be fun. Plan on doing a bit of climbing though!

Have I ever met you? Where are you from?

I'm actually from Pine River, but now I "live" in Pequot Lakes.
Ahhh. My grandma used to live there! Not a lotta riding up there. I used to work at Traiblazers in Nisswa and Brainerd.

Yeah, that's where I got my bike that I'm riding now from, it's a good place. We do need more stuff to ride, we should get enough people to ride, it's cabin country.

Just let me know when and I will see if I can come. I am interested and it sounds like way too much fun.
I'll keep my eyes on your guys' plan. I'll be at our cabin near Emily this weekend and may come down and try to find you guys for a ride or something. The pits are a good time.

I'm not going to make it, I have to go on a family outing that I can't get out of, and I won't have a car.
