Ok, I had my wife out at Lebanon yesterday and although I ended up waiting for her most of the ride I couldn't find the X or XX loop. I would like to know where those start and end so the next time I run Lebanon WITHOUT her, I know where to go.
Thanks,

There is a section of the main loop that is kind of a gradual, sustained, more uphill portion of the loop. After you go through this section it gets pretty rocky and more technical. This section culminates in dumping you off into a wide open part of the trail that sort of veers to the right and stays wide. If you don't veer to the right with the wide section of trail you'll notice that it is actually a Y and going to the left is the entrance to the X loop. The XX loop branches off from the X loop so if you didn't find the X loop you wouldn't have ever seen the XX loop entrance. Again, from the X loop there is a place to make a left turn off the trail and over a large log pile. This is the entrance to the XX loop. The XX loop dumps you off at the place where the X loop starts so you can go back to the parking lot via the outer loop, or via the X loop. Hope this helps.
I think the trail description section is updated with a description for Lebanon Hills that may help as well.

Keep in mind, you ride quite a ways into the intermediate trail befoe you get to the X-Loop entrance. After you ride through an area with a few rock gardens and some fast swooping berms or turns (insloped turn by some) you will get shot out into an open area where a wider trail goes to the right and you will also see a closed section with a sign. Just to the left of the closed section is another smaller sign which designates that as the X-Loop entrance.
Once in the X-Loop for a while you will get to a swooping curving section that is tough to ride because it subtle climbs, this is after the super hard right turn rock garden. You can't miss the entrance to the XX-Loop becuase it's a huge log pile on your left. The general rule to follow is if you can't make that log pile, be very careful or don't ride the XX-Loop. Since it is your first time, take you first few laps slow and make sure you clearly see what is ahead of you.
Have fun!

What he said! If you start down a double-track hill, you just missed the turn for X.
The entrance to the X loop is also a nice place to hang out, wait up for people, and catch your breath. There is a nice wide spot that can fit a bunch of bikers.
When you finish the XX loop, you end up at the same place. When you finish it, I suggest going back into the X loop, but taking a right at the Y, rather than heading back into the XX loop. That takes you through about 1/2 mile of wonderful intermediate trail that drops you into the beginning of Dream-I (the fast section).
Danny was that you and your wife yesterday around 4:30 in the parking lot?

This shows the X and XX as they are, but isn't there a newer map with the new entance and dream trail which exits into the Intermediate loop now?
Which is where the 1, 2 and 3 are marked on this map.

Only sort-of. They were supposed to get in and mark the trail out, but I don't think it ever happened.
The closest we currently have are the plots that I made with my GPS last fall.
Click on the "photos" section below my avitar, and you can see them.

I just pulled that pic off the trails page. http://www.morcmtb.org/trailreviews/metro/lebanon.shtml
Scroll down - it does explain that the areas circled are out dated.

So if I keep turning left I will hit the X and XX loops right. How aboout the parking lot... will I hit that eventually if I keep turning left? All I know is last night I wanted to hit the X and XX loop (to bail on my wife) and I couldn't find it! AAARRRGH!

No, you'll keep doing laps around the X/XX until it rains and JL closes the section.

That would require some serious damage control for the next week. I am currently in damage control for not doing the laundry today and going for a long ride instead. I told her I cant ride when its raining, but I can do laundry.

Laundry in exchange for riding the XX, that's a no brainer, I'm sure I can manage to get the strength to dump some clothes and hit a button. I'll work on that with her, thanks Ben!

Craig I. posted the trial map above but you will come to a V in the trail and if you go right its a pretty wide trail and if you go left that is the x trail and once you go in there you will find the XX trail good luck and its awsome
