First I rode the outer loop hard with a sweet 28 lbs FS bike and 2.3" tires.
23 min.
Next I rode it with a nice light hartail with the 2.3" tires.
23 min.
Then I rode it with a very light SS and the very light wheelset with Kenda lights.
22 min.
Today I rode it with the nice light hardtail with the very light wheelset, two loops.
21 min each!

It's not the bikes, it's that the more you ride the faster you get.....:)
Now do it on a BMX bike and see what time you get......:scream:

The funny thing is the 21 min time was on a 97 Schwinn Homegrown. So much for high-tech.

Do you exclude the XX? If so, why? For me a complete loop is Dream I, X, XX, X, Dream II to lot.
I definitely ride faster on my HT SS than I ever did on a geared FS bike.

Yeah, only the outer loop cause I don't have to slow down as much. It's more of a Roadie workout not doing the XX or XXX.

I would say a '97 Schwinn Homegrown is still pretty high tech. Besides minor details, bikes have not progressed enough yet to make that one obsolete.
