Wheeling tires

I was wondering if off road tires are bad for wheeling, A buddy i know has some street tires that he uses and they seem to be better than my fat ass tires i have on my bike. "Or it could just be my technique of riding."

Tires have little effect. Sure, smoother ones would work better on roads, but for wheelies, it's not going to make much of a difference.
