ARDEN HILLS
Take a hike through largely undeveloped portions of the old Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant, highlighting the wildlife of this unique habitat.
Ramsey County Parks and Recreation is partnering with the Friends of St. Paul and Ramsey County Parks and the Minnesota National Guard to lead the series of nature hikes at the site. The first hikes will be at 8, 9 and 10 a.m. April 30. Local experts will lead the free hikes, which will take about 45 minutes.
The hikes start at the Hamline Avenue entrance, off Ramsey County Road 96, between U.S. 10 and Lexington Avenue. Registration is required. Call the Tamarack Nature Center at 651-407-5350. Additional hikes will be held in June, August and the fall.
