I'm assuming that Salem is now ready to ride. The information on it on this site still has it as being under construction but it seems from all the threads on it that it is now rideable. Am I wrong? Is there anything I should know about it before I ride it? Can I just follow the directions on its bio in the "trails" section to get to the trail?

Adam, I'll let James correct me, but...

The trail is open, assuming the recent rain hasn't left it wet. IMO, the trail probably needs another day like today before it is ready to ride again.

Salem already has about 3 miles of decent, beginner-intermediate trail. There are a few loops, so you might have a difficult time finding everything without accidently riding a couple parts a second time.

There is about another mile and a half of new trail marked out, which looks like it will be nice. We walked the new sections, and it looks like it will make good use of the woods in the area.

BTW, I challange anyone to walk the new sections, and find a downed tree that Tim missed with his new route. He certainly doesn't want to make it too easy on the trail crew.:scream:

Check the trails forums, I think James the trail steward wanted us to stay off it for at least another week.

Whoops, just checked the Trail Conditions off of the home page.

I stand corrected.

Hey all,

Salem should be ok to ride tomorrow.

The trails in the woods are still a little soft and will develope a rut if riden on.

without any more rain tomorrow should be fien and this week great.

enjoy
James
