just picked up a bike yesterday, and this place isn't far from me. I was hoping to get out and ride it tonight, but i don't know if it's ready or not?

anyone been out there this week and checked the conditions? if not, i might head out anyways and try to check. :)

I have not been up to salem recently, but I am planning on stoping by this afternoon and checking it out.

Dale was out there flagging this week and said it is a little soft and needs probably another week to get all the frost out and firm up.

The Convicts and I will be out next Thursday and Friday clearing the final coridor on the north end to complete the loop. Not sure when we will get in and do the dingo and hand work however.

I'll keep the conditions page updated, so watch for the opening there and on this thread.

I see that James updated Salem on the trail conditions page. FYI, we walked the trail on Friday, and it looks pretty good, except for one or two small spots where it would still be best to walk your bike. I don't know the effects of today's rain, but it should dry out with a couple days of sunshine and wind.
