Urban ride Sunday 4-10

A few of us will be doing a session either down town or on campus. Maybe even both. Ride starts at 1pm. Meeting location is TBA on this thread. We might ride long enough to meet up with the Erik's dinky town ride as well.

Hey Dusty and Trials Addict, find some good **** to ride in North Field, In about 4 wks I'll be hittin' the cam almost full time. I want to get as many locales as posssible and having ridden Northfield with Dust I know there is some good stuff!

Awesome. Both y'all should make it. Everyone is welcome. Dusty and I did an urban ride today, warming up for tomorrow. Should be fun.

We realize there is a chance for rain, but it's scattered. If the ride does get cancelled, it will be posted here ASAP.

Scattered rain all over the place. Scattered is just fine. It means if it rains...no big deal...it will only last a short time and dry up for more riding. So don't let rain scare you away from showing up. It's suppose to still get up to the 70's today too.

Kick ass ride. Great to finally meet everyone. I'm stoked on how many riders attended. Minus the little bike issues, it was a great ride on a perfect day. This is only the first of many Urban sessions. Til next time....

Dudes, where the F did you guys go?? I showed up at 1:11, met John going to fix a flat and then rode around the U for over an hour, checking all the good spots, at least 6 times a piece, and then eventually over into DT. I finally gave up. Thanks for waiting for the stragglers. At least I got a sunburn....

I shoulda just hung with John til he fixed his flat, instead of trying to locate the pack. O-well maybe next time.

Damn, I shoulda grabbed your cell! I really thought you would have found the group. I was wondering what happened... We went all over, however seems like we still didn't hit everything.

No worries, kinda funny actually. You'd think a large pack of riders would be easy to locate in a relatively small area. I was even asking random people, "have you seen a bunch of guys on bikes like this"...no dice.

Maybe all my "good" spots are not the same as you alls'.....next time fo' sure.

Not to rip on you too bad.....but how can you not make a 1:00 time on a Sunday? If you can't make the meet time, don't get mad if people don't wait.

I make sure I make it on time for rides.....I wish everyone else would give us that same respect. How do I do this? I plan to be 15 minutes early. That way if I snag on anything on my way....I am likely not to be late.

Another solution is to know some other people on the rides and get their numbers. I always have my phone and I know some other riders had theirs. I am willing to give you mine if you IM me before a ride I am going on.

Anyway.....not trying to bag on you....just making a point for everyone in the future. It would have been cool to have you with us on the ride.

Yeah, but I have to opposite personality.....I am always 15 or more minutes early. So, I have a hard time waiting for people who are late....especially if they are watching Jeff Gordon and E Jr. battle it out........sheeeeesh....riding is much more fun than getting dizzy.......:):)

If you have a cell phone though.....just get some numbers and you are set. That way....you can be 1/2 hour late if you want.....:p

Oh yeah...the pics and vids. I will try tomorrow. I have class, but maybe after class I will have time.

just a suggestion for next time--my friend and i biked downtown yesterday and ended up at the minneapolis tech college. i saw a few places around there that people might like... :)

Dang, and now I see your post. It was cool that you happened to pass by Mike's when I just got there, and the fact I also tried calling you today to ride. It was a good session. I was sticking some fricking sweet moves tonight. Call me about riding maybe Thursday or Friday.
