Hi!
I'm (as my name says) from Portland, Oregon, but will be moving in Minnesota in a couple of months. I was wondering about trials in the Morris Area. Any riders from around there?
thanks
p
Peter,
Welcome to MORC and to Minnesota, when you get here. As far as riding around Morris, I'm not too familiar with anything in particular. From what I hear, there is some stellar riding about 1.5 hours south at Camden St. Park by Marshall. There will also be new trails going in at this park as well. You'll have to do a bit of exploring around town and report back on the riding. There should be some to the north of you as well.
Are you coming for school? Unfortunately you are pretty spoiled living in a great city like Portland. Morris wont have much to offer in comparison. My wife and I have a trip planned to Oregon this summer. We're looking forward to it!
See ya on the trails,

Hi Pete, I just moved from the Morris Area to the Cities and I must say... biking there sucks! Morris is a small town that hosts the U of Minnesota and other than that there are no hills/trails at all, just flat farmland, and unless your a roadie you'll be driving to the trails. I know I rode at Glacier State Park and that was mainly rolling prairie hills. I did drive up to Detroit Lakes area many weekends for decent trail busting. If you need a job there let me know,m I have some pull there still with local businesses.
Good luck,
