Just thought I'd share some stoke. Such a nice week, gotta love this spring weather. Between the weather and riding yesterday with Adam and Troy, I had the itch to ride again today pretty bad.

So I've been eyein' this little urban drop for a while, all winter in fact, and just needed a sunny, quiet Sunday to go hit it up. Today the stars had aligned. The drop itself is only 56", but the run in makes it fun, 20 or so feet of 8" wide wall, including a 8' 2x8 to span a side walk.

If anybody ever wants to go hit up some urban sometime, hit me up, I'm always game.

Nice drop by the way. I like the ones that have downsided landings. I would take my BMX bike off of that one.....maybe even try to bust some style off of it. So....where is that???? :):):)

Its up by my parents house in Fridley. You can see it from 47 if you keep an eye out. One of those things you scout before hand, then go hit up when the timing is right. The sign only said "no skateboarding or rollerblading" :D!!

Here's a shot of the run in, it was actually harder than the drop itself. You can see the board I had to use to span the side walk. The whole thing is 8" wide, and the tree bows were so low, I had to duck down and plow thru them, kinda messed with my balance a little. As a result I was never able to get as much speed as I wanted, to really air it out off the edge, the potential for another 2 or 3 feet is there, if more speed could be attained to get further down the tranny...but at least it was hit-able. Maybe if they trim up the tree up someday I can go back and really fly off it.

side note: anybody know how to get pics in the gallery to show up in a thread?, I know how to do pics that have a URL outside the site, but have only figured out text links for pics in the gallery.

You do the same thing as you would for an off-site pic. All you need is the link to the pic in the gallery. To get that....just right click on the pic and select properties. You should see a location attribute there that you can copy and paste as the url to the image. This is better because if you have a link to it...a new browser opens up with another MORC....and sometimes people don't realize they have multiple browsers open to the MORC forums. If it's off site....the pop up is okay, but within the site......it's not so cool.
