'03 set of Magura Louise Fr Discs...front and rear with 180mm rotors. Includes all hardware and 7" adapter for rear (front doesn't need one.) I'm tired of screwing with these brakes. I've bleed them about 5 times over the winter and they still seem to be losing a tiny bit of pressure. Most likely need a new set of lines and new pads (contaminated). No leaks and in good condition. Free to a good home. Just come and get them. New fluid as of yesterday. That's the last $15 I'm spending on them.

Sorry to hear you had so much trouble Dave. I have a number of tools and tricks for bleeding brakes on motorcycles, I have to believe that many of them (especially the Miti-Vac) may help alieviate the problem. It's possible you are getting air in through the caliper, which can happen without leaking fluid. That would require a caliper rebuild. Hydraulic brakes are a bitch if you want a very firm feel. I have to warn people who ride my motorcycle that they have never felt brakes like this before, and half of them still end up almost wadding it the first time out.

I think your right...I think it's more me than the brakes. I have a fetish with lever feel. I need the contact point and pressure to be identical on front and rear. For some reason, these brakes seem to move all over the place. They work fine...but one day the lever on the rear will fade slightly, the next time I ride the front brake fades. I kept thinking air was in the line so I kept bleeding. Maybe bleeding in a cold garage does'nt help either. I've just gotten to the point where I don't want to screw with them anymore.
I've been riding Hayes discs since 2001 and never had any issues with lever feel, leaks, bleeding, set-up, etc. Both of my other bikes have Hayes....all my spare parts are for Hayes...so I think I'lll switch this bike to Hayes.
