I've registered! Hopefully our new team gear will have arrived by then and I'll be lookin' pretty schnazzy.
Anyone else planning on riding it this year? *cough* Craig *cough* Don *cough, cough* :p
It sounds like we'll have a couple BCR groups doin' it. Some for the century, some not for the century. We'd love to have a couple larger groups, so think about it!

Oh yeah, we'll be there!
We'll be riding the hundo if I have anything to say about it. And, I plan on being in better shape than last year - last year I was in really crappy shape. I haven't talked to Craig about it yet, but I'm pretty sure we'd like to hook up with you guys. The more the merrier!

I'll be there, hopefully it won't wreck my out of shape body since I get married the following Friday. Kinda funny crawling down the isle.
Say, how will I recognize MORC members there? Since I actually haven't met anyone from our organization?

BCR will have some team members there, maybe in our new gear. Otherwise we've typically decided on a time and place to meet before the ride and then do inroductions before we ride. Some guys will probably be wearing their MORC jerseys, so you can look for those as well.
Since you're "new" - doughnuts and other tasty breakfast treats are expected...

I've done 2 Ironman rides solo, but would like to hook up with a group this time. I am unsure what mileage I'd be doing this year, and would likely only average about 13-14 mph. Based on the only century I've done. Anyone else ride this pace?

Sweet! More breakfast food!
So far, just based on responses from friends of mine, it looks like we'll have two groups. Those who want to move along pretty good, and those who are still feeling the effects of winter, so I think you'll have no problem matching a pace.

Since Danny's bringing the doughnuts I guess I'll have to come up with something. Or maybe more doughnuts?!

Hey Tom, I'll be doing more talking than racing. So that pace works for me, wherever we decide to meet let me know. I'll be the one with the blue Mauch Chunk racing jersey.

Yeah, last year it didn't take much to discourage me. This year, it'll take more than rain drops! We won't let ya down this year...
Man, I hope I'm not getting in over my head... :)

Here is what you do - you tell the Grizz you will meet him at 7:00 for the hundo. You then proceed to get scared off by the rain and show up at 9:00, do the 60, write "nice" things about him on the white board at the Lakeville school and then go home and kick back some beers and think about him still out there on his bike busting arse into that wind the last 20 miles of the hundo :D :D :D
This year will be different ;)

I am thinking about it. Would be nice to hook up with a group. Not sure what distance I'll do though. Hopefuly I'll have a road bike by then too.
Unless it's raining!
:D
Or snowing. . .
the distance/course ain't the reason they call it the Ironman.
