I'm sorta gauging interest to see if anyone wants this, so here goes.

'98 Fisher Aquila frame - horizontal dropouts installed professionally by Bob Brown of www.bobbrowncycles.com

GT rigid Cr-Mo forK
Deore V Brakes
Deore XT V Brake levers
Sugino Impel Cranks
Old Wheels - like, so old, not even worth mentioning. Rear is a really old 7-speed Alivio hub with a bolt-on axle installed. Front is a Nashbar hub and Specialized D21 rim
Generic silver 1 1/8" threadless stem
Salsa superwide flat bar
Salsa Juegos grips
Icon barends
Crupi BMX chain tensioners installed on rear wheel
Generic 27.2 seatpost
Bianchi saddle w/ kevlar shoulders
Ritchey Headset
Some pretty worn tires (Panaracer Fire XC 2.1)

Ideally I'd be looking in the range of $400 for this bike but please make what you think is a reasonable offer if you're interested. Most of the value of this bike (to me) is the frame, since I paid to have the horizontals installed.

ok 61 views and no responses. All bets are off with asking price, just shoot me an offer.

Andy,

What size is the bike? That might help in selling it.

LOL. Sorry, I am a moron. It's an 18" frame. I'm 5'9" with slightly short legs and it fits me probably the best of all my MTB's right now.

Name your price, eh? Hmm, since there are no competitive offers yet I'll give ya $5 for it!

I've got friends I'm constantly trying to get into MTBing and I'll see what I can do, but so far they ain't biting on the "spend less, get more with a SS as your first MTB" angle.

LOL. Correction: name your price and it should be at least 3 figures ($100). :D

thanks for trying for me, though.

FWIW, I would also be willing to sell the bike with a 99 Manitou SX Carbon which has a blown oil damper for the same price. If you could find a rebuild kit for the fork, you might be able to get the damper working again, but as it sits, it's a light fork with coil/MCU spring.

I figured more people would want the Rigid fork though, since good threadless 1 1/8" rigid forks are getting harder and harder to come by.
