I too have 50 invites left to hand out.
For those who dont know what gmail is. Gmail is an email system that is very similar to hotmail, yahoo or aol. However, Gmail gives you a 1000mb storage capacity and encourages you to "archive" your mail instead of deleting it. By archiving, you never loose your mail and it can be looked up at a later date. It is by invite only at the moment since it is in its beta stage.

Thats a good question and I have no good answer for you. Anyone else have a good answer for that question??? At the moment I just use mine for an email that i use to sign up for junk.

If you really want to "back it up" you can setup a rule in Gmail to forward everything to another account(Yahoo, Hotmail, your work account) and make an archive from another account. Kinda clumsy but works.

You have pop access also so you can access it with outlook, and archive them there
