I would love to read the flyer but seriously folks I'm very tired of web pages with PDF documents hijacking my browser. It would be nice if people would name them in a way so that we know we are clicking on a pdf link.

Shawn,
Most browsers have a preference you can set to show the target of a link at the bottom when you hover your mouse cursor over it. That way, you can look to see if it is a .pdf link before clicking it.
Hope this helps, I've been just as frustrated by this in the past.

...stuff or is it one of those "swaps" where everyone is trying to sell crap at MSRP?
Also, what do you mean by a PDF hijacking your browser? Is it a file download size/connection speed issue or something else? Just curious, I've never had any technical issues with PDFs and wondering if there is something I should be aware of.

I don't really think it's hijacking, but most browsers are designed to allow a pdf to open in them, or should I say most browsers all you to put a pdf plugin into them, just like flash, java, and anything else. You can choose not to allow you browser to use these plugins, but a pdf is not dangerous to you machine. A java file could be, but sun.java has done a lot to prevent this.
On another note, I don't know why people don't just export a document as an HTML document. Most of these documents are created by a program that allows you to save the document as an HTML document. Then, the document simply becomes a web page and no one needs a Acrobat Reader to view it.

My issue with PDF's are that they just take so long to load up. I wish there was an option like on Google where you can open the pdf in html format.

Quite a mix of stuff and consequently a mix of prices. It's a good place to buy replacement or build parts for your second, third, or sixth bike. I went last year needing a set of slicks, a tolerable saddle and some grips. Came away with all of the above and a 36t chainring for my single for about $25. All of it was, for the most part, new goods.

Will MORC be present at this event so I FINALLY have no excuse to not join? I don't have a PayPal account and would rather just hand over a check. That would be so cool!
Tom,
I don't think anyone from MORC will be there manning a table or anything but if you want to join up right now (Great idea, please do!) here's a link to a hard copy version of a membership application. These will be getting updated soon but it'll work right now. Just print one off and snail mail it in.
Word document:

Welcome aboard, hopefully. :)

Thanks, Troy. Maybe next year MORC can have a table (or something) there. Maybe I'll even man it!

Anyone else going on Sunday? I got a bonus check burning a hole in my pocket (and common sense). I don't really need anything, but just like to pose by hanging around bike stuff!

I went - got a brand-new Selle saddle for $10, and a brand-new derailer for my GF's bike for $10...
I really had to restrain myself from grabbing one of the old steel road frames that were going for $10-$15 - I only allow myself one project bike at a time...
There were plenty of sweet deals on stuff I didn't need - anybody else score?
