Uh Buck,

What about snow boarding? No poles to hang on to and you should be smart enough to not try and catch yourself right?

How does a finger injury keep one from sliding down a hill? Let me know.

P.S. Going to try and ride both days this weekend... hehehe

Well, here is the low down,
Since I damaged(more like destroyed from what they tell me :D ) tendons, if I were to fall which doesn't happen often ;) It's to big of a chance that I totally undo everything they fixed, they are still very fragile for up to 3 months. If my wrist snaps back or my fingers, BOOM, back to surgery I go...cuz the sudden pressure and how weak they still are they'd snap...not worth the risk...And the risk of not catching myself with my hands and with the brace I have on the force would go to my elbow and shoulder, it's like a waterfall effect, wreck one thing could mean wrecking more things...my shoulders are messed up the way it is don't feel like dislocating one...and I wouldn't want to be a knuckle dragger any way!!!:p

Anyway, everyone who reads this better get atleast two extra pedal spins in for Buck!!! :) And get fresh tracks wether on the slopes or in the woods!!!

Adam,

Stop being such a nancy boy and walk it off. Take a salt tablet and get back out there!

James,

I'm gonna ride this weekend, too ... ride a BOARD, that is! Woot!

Oh yeah, I'll be out this weekend too. I am looking forward to playing in the snow. So slipidy slidy. I am going to keep my clipless pedals on at first and see how that goes. I have a feeling I'll throw on some flats in the name of not killing myself.

This will be my first winter ride. BRING IT ON!

Word, time to get the board out. Haven't thought about it all winter, due to the lack of snow, but now it looks like the time has come. Golf Course booters will be in full effect.

You guys shouldn't rib Buck so hard. Duluth keeps getting dumped on and he's sidelined!!! That's the worst feeling ever!!!, when all your bros go out to hit up a few feet of fresh and your stuck playin TonyHawk on PS and watchin SpongeBob reruns. I did that two years in a row during college, blew my L knee, missed the last half of one season the first time, and then the second time it missed a good two months of early season mountain biking. At least my PT was a hottie. Hang in there Buck, I know what your goin thru.

Some stoke-age for ya'll, Bozeman circa '99

I hear ya Chris, bridger rocks, 'specially the up on the ridge. Spent many a day up to my eye-balls in Pow playin' hooky from school. Best $50 large I ever spent.

I was out of school, and stuck back here for the big '03 dump, but had a number of buddies who made a point to let me know what I was missing!! Good timing on your trip out there, getting dumped on during a ski vaca. is the best.

I love Bridger! I went to school in Bozeman for a year before I went broke! I miss the ridge! I really miss the ski patrol guys telling us to sign in before we hike up, so they know how many sets of bones to look for! Good times!

Tell ya what, I send you the doctor bills that are enough to buy a nice car with, then multiply it by two when I fall and re tear all the tendons, and you pay for it...Then I'll go skiing!!! :p

Yeah, no snowblower here either. It was actually a nice night to shovel, so it was kinda fun! Sure looked awesome. Now that I've had my snow fix, It's time for spring!

ha ha ha I forgot about when Prestons binding pre-released and he ate it. Thats what you get for buying salomon bindings. Coffee has tried to step it up , but they really suck at building decent jumps and rails. They do have one nice box this year though.

We were dropping in on the coulee behind the Holzinger lodge near Salad Bar trail. The trees are farther apart and there is little ground cover in there. I am snowshoeing up to the top and dropping back in tomorrow morning before the 40 degree weather kills all the snow we have.

Buck,

I was up there this past weekend (nice white-knuckle drive the whole way up on Friday night) to do some snowshoeing and climbing. Friend's brought me to Schmidt Creek. Had a blast. Some nice ledges to huck off and went down the lower half to slide down a smaller frozen waterfall. Nice alternative when skiing isn't an option.

Matt,
Next time you are in the area post up or PM me or something, I climb myself and have my gear with me or heck I can be a belay slave or something!!!! Once my hand is better I can't wait to get out on the mad river rocket and shred some lines through the snow, and of course build a monster kicker out at Enger Golf Course...w00t!!!!!!!!!:D

Yeah, I think it's for a little of both. The magazine and the video production company are two seperate things though.
