Which Tire Where?

I have a lightly worn Continental Explorer on the front and a worthless tire on the rear. I bought an Explorer Pro, same width as the front, and I am wondering where the Pro should go. I would think back, but I'm too new to this to know if I'm right.

I would put the better tire on the front. Better to be able to get traction and handling up front.

Good riding form can make up for lack of traction on the rear. You really need to have traction on the front. I'm with Ken, swap your current front tire to the rear and put the new one on the front.
