Hey guys,
What up? I thought since none of you guys could come to CPX(Chicago) I would post up a re-cap. Saturday we sessioned CPX(NS) till almost dark man was it a blast, everyone was killin' it. I hit my first huge double, oh man oh man, are they fun or what! Then I busted my bike so I busted out the camera gear, and the guys that came from Kato started throwin' down, like huge suicide no handers, and no hander landings of step downs and the kickers!
Then after some great Chicago pizza
we woke up and hit some urban in Chicago on Sunday, after checking out a monster stair gap, I wanted to try, I decided I should warm up a little first and went down hard on a stair gap that required gapping like 15 feet, I came up a little short and ended up skidding a good 15-20 on concrete into the highway, lol, thankfully I came away with only two bruised forearms, cruised heal, bruised ribs and ruined riding pants(damn those were expensive!). Later that day the Chi-town boyz threw down for some cool footage then we happened acoss alittle grass booter that you'd think I wouldn't hit being I had already went down hard, well I gave 'er a go and paid the price again only this time I skid on grass for a good distance, that is when I called it a day and only filmed, it was super windy(ha, the windy city, duh!) and lots of things were alittle sketchy to hit, but all in all it was a great road trip.
Pics coming sooo...

dope, sounds like the trip rocked. whish i could have gotten down there too. anyway post some pics. The main reason i love that place so much is that peoples loosen up there and get nutty. thats a good think in mountain biking.

Just curious, what broke on the BigHit? Sounds like a fun trip, hopefully next time I'll have a bike to ride and I'll tag along to help out with gas. You know if CPX is open later in the year (like Thanksgiving)? I'll be down there around then, might have to check it out.

Hey man,
Well I snapped a hydraulic line, so I had no front brakes, I rode some, but on NS you almost HAVE to have front brakes, I do anyway...
And yes they are open pretty much year a round. I'm lookin to head out there agian in possibly spring, don;t know for sure though.

Oh, that's all good, easy fix for you. I thought maybe you cracked the frame or swingarm or something major. You don't hear about that stuff breaking on the BigHit as much. They are pretty solid bikes.

Glad to hear CPX is open all year, I'll have to check out their TG hours while I'm down there.

Yeah man,
I don't think I have ever heard of a broken swingarm on a bighit...yeah it is easy fix, except there were no shops nearby, this place is out in the sticks...so more a pain in the ass b/c it kinda ruined the day of riding...its all good though...
